Aggravated Assault Case Dismissed in Williamson County
January 28, 2013
Robert M. Phillips & Associates announced today that, in a case pending for nearly a year, the law firm had secured a dismissal in Williamson County, Texas on a pre-indictment allegation of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
“This was the right result, in a case involving two loving spouses, which, unfortunately, escalated into the exhibition of a firearm, during a domestic altercation. My client, and her spouse, have undergone intensive marital counseling, she has no prior criminal history, and the State prosecutor was impressed by not only her level of remorse, but the vehement desire of her husband that all charges should be dismissed.”
Phillips went on to say that this somewhat extraordinary result will enable his client to resume her teaching career, which was suspended during the pendency of the case.
